“Loon”

Body 14.5″ across the lower bout.  Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard.  Maple binding.  25″ scale.

Tony B was at the Acoustic Alaska Guitar Camp in 2015.  He had had shoulder injuries, and he needed a smaller guitar with a wedge profile that would allow him to play without pain. 

The rosette is a ribbon and ring design using red mirrored glass, white and black mother of pearl.

Tony enjoyed listening to the loons on King’s Lake at camp so I created this inlay for him.  Curly maple, ebony, mother of pearl, blue and red glass.
